Enrichments

Enhancing our program with movement, hands-on projects, and exploration.

Our Enrichment programs reinforce skills that children are already working on during the school day. These programs also provide the children an opportunity to acquire new interests. All Enrichment programs are included in tuition.

Our Enrichment programs include:

Drama through the Torah: Our preschoolers hear stories of the weekly Torah portions and make connections to their own lives. Songs, dances and activities are used to foster a sense of spirituality and Jewish pride.

Yoga:   Our preschoolers learn how to do yoga through games, poses, books and props. Through yoga, we can teach mindfulness, patience, cooperation, and much more.

Movement: This is an organized movement class that helps children build motor skills and learn about physical fitness. Children learn how to work as a team, they learn to share and they learn how to be creative in a group environment.

STEAM: Learn More

Music: Ms. Ellie Music classes provide a relaxed and fun atmosphere exploring different rhythms and melodies through both Jewish and secular music.

Soccer: Through an outside vendor, children participate in soccer lessons to develop gross motor skills, enhance coordination, promote physical fitness and increase self-confidence in a non-competitive environment.

Tae Kwan Do: Through an outside vendor, children play games and practice drills that help develop balance, coordination, strength and reflexes, as well as improve discipline and listening skills.

Jump Bunch: This is a sports and fitness program that comes to the Sherman ECC to provide great exercise, but in a structured format that introduces a wide variety of sports, builds coordination, balance, and confidence.

Cooking: Through hands-on experiences with food, we’re working to establish healthy eating habits, by exploring different types of food (shapes, texture, etc.) and participating in the preparation (and eating) of some simple, healthful recipes.
